Netting is recommended for brassicas due to the high levels of cabbage moths this season. 

Beat the crowds and pre-purchase seedlings for pickup from the farm at 36 Oaks Road between 9am-12pm on the last Sunday of that month ONLY. Cash sales available at the farm. Available only during the above time or until sold out.

Unfortunately, we cannot take phone calls to set seedlings aside or provide alternative times for picking up seedlings. We do not deliver but will box up your order for a quick in and out pickup from the garden.

To keep seedlings affordable they will be supplied as loose plugs (not in seedlings trays). The root system is well developed on all plants.

We recommend that you plant these within a few days of buying them for the best success.

Transplant success

• Plant seedlings asap. These are ready to go in the ground now and suitable for this season.
• Your plants need enough soil and nutrients to grow well. Don't plant them too close.
• Watering weekly with diluted Seasol will boost plant health (not for leafy greens).

• If your plants start going yellow in their pots they don’t have enough nutrients.
• Water transplants before planting in the ground. Ensure transplants are planted into damp soil. Once planted, water in with Seasol to avoid transplant shock.
• Fertilise heavy feeders when planting out (broccoli, cauliflower etc.)
• Ensure soil is not too compact (or loosen with a garden fork)
• Garden soil can generally be boosted with an application of compost
• Full sun is best.
